Sweetly Southern Ribeye

Ingredients

2 tablespoons KC Masterpiece® BBQ Seasoning
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 ribeye steaks

 

Mix seasoning and brown sugar in a small bowl. Season both sides of ribeye well with mixture.

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

 

Cook on covered grill over medium heat turning a couple of times. For medium rare, cook to 140°F for 8 minutes per side, medium to 150°F for 10 minutes per side and well done to 160°F for 12 minutes per side.

Grilled Flank Steak

Ingredients

1/2 cup KC Masterpiece® Honey Barbecue Sauce
1 pound flank steak or 1 pound top sirloin steak (1-inch thick),
    cut in crosswise strips, 1 1/2 - inch wide.

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes

 

Grill steak directly over coals. Grill 20 minutes, turning once, basting with sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

BBQ Steak Wraps

Ingredients

1 cup KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce, divided
1 pound steak (flank or top sirloin)
2 yellow onions, peeled and sliced horizontally in quarters
2 cans (15 ounces each) small white beans, rinsed, drained and heated
8 burrito size flour tortillas, warmed
Garnish (optional): Coleslaw or chopped lettuce and tomatoes

 

Preparation

Prep Time:15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes

 

Grill steak and onions, covered, 15 minutes turning every 5 minutes and basting with 1/2 cup KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce during the last 10 minutes. Slice the meat and onions and mix with warm beans and remaining 1/2 cup KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce. Spread mixture over center of tortilla. Add garnish, if desired. Fold in sides of tortillas. Roll and tuck edges under to enclose filling.

Barbecue Beef Skewers

Ingredients

3/4 cup KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce
1 pound flank or sirloin steak
3 tablespoons minced shallots or green onions
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
4 cloves garlic, pressed
Pepper, to taste
16 skewers*

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

 

Cut beef diagonally into thin strips about 1-inch wide. Thread onto 16 skewers*, allowing 1-2 ribbons of beef per skewer. In a small bowl combine KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce, shallots, lemon juice, lemon peel, garlic and pepper. Brush skewered beef generously with sauce mixture. Place over hot coals in covered grill. Grill 2-3 minutes on each side.

Sweet and Spicy Chipotle Steak

Ingredients

2 pounds top sirloin steak, 1-1/4 inches
1 1/2 cups KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce
1 12 ounce bottle good quality beer
1/3 cup honey
2 minced chipotle chilies
1/4 cup adobo sauce from canned chipotle chilies
chopped fresh cilantro

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 10 minutes, plus 1 hour for marinating the meat
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes

 

In a medium bowl combine KC Masterpiece® Original Barbecue Sauce, beer, honey, chilies and adobo sauce; mix well. Place marinade and steak in a large zip-top bag; seal well and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

 

Remove steak from marinade and grill or broil to desired doneness, basting several times with sauce. Sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro.

Mesquite Beef Kabobs with Grilled Garlic and Herb Potatoes

Ingredients

3 pounds beef sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 bottle KC Masterpiece® Steakhouse Marinade
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/2 cup dry red wine
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 pound whole button mushrooms
2 large yellow onions cut into large pieces
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 30 minutes, plus 1 hour for marinating the meat
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes

 

Toss beef with KC Masterpiece® Steakhouse Marinade, garlic and wine in large container. Refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight for richer flavor. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning (30 minutes if using bamboo skewers).

 

Light grill using Kingsford® Charcoal briquets. Thread vegetables and meat on skewers. Brush vegetables lightly on all sides with olive oil; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

 

Grill 4 to 5 minutes on both sides, or until cooked through.

Stellar Steak Tacos

Ingredients

2 tablespoons KC Masterpiece® Steak Seasoning with Garlic, with 1/2 tablespoon reserved Juice of 1 lime
3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil, divided
1 1/2 pounds boneless beef sirloin or rib eye, cut into strips
12 flour tortillas (9-inches), warmed
Salsa and sour cream, for serving

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

 

Mix 1 1/2 tablespoons KC Masterpiece® Steak Seasoning with Garlic, lime juice and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a small bowl to form a paste. Spread paste over steak strips and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 2 hours before cooking.

 

Heat remaining oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Quickly cook steak strips until browned at edges but still barely pink inside. Divide cooked steak among tortillas; fold in half.

 

Add remaining 1/2 tablespoons KC Masterpiece® Steak Seasoning with Garlic to salsa; stir. Serve tacos with seasoned salsa and sour cream.

Garlic-Pepper Tenderloin Steaks

Ingredients

4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper

 

Preparation

Prep Time: 30 minutes

 

Combine garlic, thyme and pepper; press onto beef steaks. Place steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Season with salt.
